The Carnegie Future of Schools Institute is funded through Carnegie and sponsored by Columbia University’s CPRL program. This was a three day event over the course of three months. Students collaborated with other students in schools across the GRREC region. Over the course of the three sessions, students worked on building skills in the areas of deliberative democracy, design thinking, and collaborative problem-solving. They studied unique schools, learned about the history of schools, completed a root-cause analysis, and ultimately created their own school designs to be set in the future. Drakes Creek Leadership students participated and represented WCPS!
